Meet the Principal

Mrs. Jennifer Byrd

My name is Jennifer Byrd. I am honored to be the Principal of Peaster Intermediate and to open the school for the 4th-6th graders of PISD! This is the beginning of my 18th year in education and 2nd year in Peaster ISD.

I received a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University with a minor in Reading, a Masters in Elementary Education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction, and Principal Certification from Texas Christian University.

My husband Michael and I have been married for almost 25 years. We have 2 amazing children, Emily and Ethan. Emily is a sophomore at Texas A&M and bleeds maroon and white-Gig ‘Em! Ethan is a junior in high school and keeps us very busy in the fall with football!

You will find us cheering on many teams during football season!

It is a privilege and honor to open Peaster Intermediate with our incredible staff. We are excited and ready for an awesome year to serve the students and families of PISD!
